Kharkhoda industrial hub plan takes off as BJP unveils 5,800-acre expansion

Sonipat, Oct 11 (UNI) Haryana BJP president Archana Gupta on Sunday said Kharkhoda is poised to emerge as a major industrial hub, with a 3,200-acre Industrial Model Township already taking shape and plans to add another 5,800 acres to attract investment and generate employment.
Addressing a Seva Sankalp Jan Sabha organised by Kharkhoda MLA Pawan Kharkhoda, Gupta said the Maruti Suzuki plant and the proposed Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor would give fresh impetus to industrial development and create new employment opportunities in the Delhi-bordering region.
She said Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini aimed to replicate the Kharkhoda development model by establishing 10 similar townships across Haryana.
Dr. Gupta criticised former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, charging him with winning Kharkhoda’s trust through family connections but failing to bring the progress the area deserved.
She quipped that, as a son-in-law of the region, Hooda owed Kharkhoda tenfold efforts, yet under Congress, land acquisition roadblocks stifled industry and dashed the hopes of residents who had placed their faith in his leadership.
She argued that where Congress missed the chance to unlock Kharkhoda’s industrial promise, the BJP—under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and current Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini—has been determined to carve out a new industrial identity for the region.
She pointed to the planned 10,000-acre satellite city and enhanced rail links as game-changers for Kharkhoda’s destiny, and highlighted the Chief Minister’s Singapore trip to tap into world-class solutions for water and traffic management in industrial areas.
At the gathering, Dr Gupta handed out washing machines to 108 girls in need, supporting MLA Pawan Kharkhoda’s welfare drive.
The event also saw her honoured by local social and religious groups, with a host of senior BJP leaders—including former state president Mohan Lal Badoli, MLAs Krishna Gahlawat and Pawan Kharkhoda, district president Ashok Bhardwaj, district in-charge Advocate Rajbala, Mayor Rajiv Jain, Lalit Batra, Pradeep Sangwan, Devendra Kaushik, and BJYM state president Akshit Dahiya—in attendance.
