One juvenile held after three escape from Faridabad observation home; 151 arrested in weekend crackdown

Faridabad, Oct 5 (UNI) Faridabad police have apprehended one of three juveniles who escaped from an observation home in the city, while a separate three-day crackdown led to the arrest of 151 accused and action against 46 proclaimed offenders and bail absconders, police said on Monday.
The three juveniles escaped from the observation home on October 3 through a bathroom window. Police said one of the juveniles was tracked down and apprehended from the Manesar area of Gurugram with the help of technical surveillance and local intelligence.
The juvenile is being questioned about the circumstances surrounding the escape and the whereabouts of the other two, police said, adding that teams were continuing efforts to trace them.

Raipur, Oct 8 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday released the 32nd instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana at a programme in Durg district, continuing the scheme’s monthly financial support for lakhs of women across the state. He transferred more than Rs. 632.40 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank accounts of 67,38,217 eligible women across the state.
