Man sentenced to death for rape and murder of eight-year-old

Chandigarh, June 3 (UNI) A Chandigarh court on Tuesday sentenced a man to death for rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl in January 2024.
The body of the girl was found in Hallomajra three days after she had gone missing.
The accused was arrested a week after the incident and booked under IPC sections 302, 201 and other relevant sections including the POCSO Act.
