Three women from Myanmar arrested for illegally living in India

Unnao (UP), May 25 (UNI) Three women from Myanmar were arrested by the police on Sunday for allegedly living illegally in India, from Gangaghat area of Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh.
Police sources said that the arrested women were living with their families in a slum on the banks of Ganga in Manohar Nagar under Gangaghat police station area and they did not have any valid documents for living or entering India.
Police sources said that Gangaghat police station sub-inspector Gajendra Singh received information on May 22 that some people are living in a slum on the banks of Ganga who are not able to speak the local language. "On reaching the spot, the police found three women there, who were claiming themselves to be residents of Myanmar," they said.
Police sources said that during interrogation the women revealed that they came to Kanpur via Assam and started living with their family by building a hut on the banks of Ganga in Shuklaganj area.
"They revealed that there are a total of 10 members in their family, including Mohd Sahil, Anwar, Habibullah, Asmat, Rohima Begum, Yahiya, Sinwara Begum, Junaid, Ajeeda and Noor Qaida, all residents of Mohd Siddarfara Mogando City District Busidong Myanmar," they said.
Police sources said that the arrested women have been identified as Ajeeda (36), Sinwara Begum (38) and Noor Qaida (22). "An FIR has been registered in Gangaghat police station under The Foreigners Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)," they said.
