Kanpur, May 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects worth about Rs 20,900 crore in the industrial city of Kanpur here in Uttar Pradesh on May 30 and address a public meeting, official sources said here on Wednesday.
Sources said that preparations are being finalised in view of PM Modi's proposed visit. "Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Kanpur on Wednesday afternoon and reviewed the preparations. Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Director General of Police Prashant Kumar had visited the Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural University, the venue of the PM's programme, on Tuesday and reviewed the preparations," they said.
Sources said that the PM will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects aimed at boosting the infrastructure and connectivity of the region. He will inaugurate the Kanpur Central Metro Station to Chunniganj Metro Station section of the Kanpur Metro Rail Project costing more than Rs 2,120 crore.
