Haryana Congress to hold statewide protests over alleged vote theft from Oct 14

Chandigarh, Oct 13 (UNI) Haryana Congress will hold statewide marches and rallies from October 14 to 24 under its ‘Save the Vote–Save the Nation’ campaign, escalating its protest over alleged vote theft and demanding greater accountability in the electoral process, state Congress in-charge Sanjay Dutt said on Tuesday.
Addressing a press conference here with state Congress president Rao Narender Singh, Dutt said the campaign, launched under the leadership of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, would focus on protecting voting rights, the Constitution and democratic institutions.
Referring to the October 12 protest march in Delhi, Dutt said the turnout reflected public concern over electoral fairness. The Congress has demanded answers to allegations of vote theft and raised questions about Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s accountability, he said.
