Rajasthan: Rahul, his associates intend "regime change", alleges Prahlad Joshi

Jaipur, Oct 31 (UNI) union Minister for Education Prahlad Joshi today accused Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and his close associates of openly talking of "a regime change" with a view to stabilise his leadership.
Addressing the media at the BJP state headquarters here, he alleged that Gandhi and his close associates such as Neha Bora, have now been openly talking of "a regime change", and they even state that Bangladesh inspired them".
He said "After defaming - targeting key statutory institutions like Supreme Court, Election Commission of India (ECI), the Enforcement Directorate (ED) Rahul has now started attacking economy of the country for which his party has adopted mode of Arajakta (anarchy). The campaigns organised by the Congress and allies have already rendered loss of Rs 20,000 for traders of Delhi, now they are holding a rally tomorrow that would cause further loss of Rs 10,000 crore in the Diwali festive season."
The protests by opposition parties had caused chaos and anarchy (Arajakta) in the country and their talk of regime change warrants due clarification, Joshi said.
Therefore, Gandhi and his associates should clarify whether they want Bangladesh-like events and situation here in India, the BJP leader retorted.
India is the largest and matured democracy in the world and here for changing the regime, one has to adopt democratic process and go to the polls to attain power, the union Minister said.
"Here in battles of ballots, Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly failed, even then his party tried to launch and relaunch him, but, to no avail, giving rise to murmurs among the party cadres against him. There are many within the party who believe that they cannot win an election under his leadership," he claimed.
To mitigate this belief and so generated narrative Rahul Gandhi and the associates have resorted to the chaotic, anarchic moves, defaming or raising questions against the constitutional institutions, including the Election Commission (ECI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), Supreme Court, and other bodies.
For this, they have chosen issues like vote chori, SIR and EVMs which indeed are non-existent, and speak of the height of their foolishness", Joshi taunted.
"There is as such nothing like vote chori, they say 13 crore entries were deleted, however, these names were dropped on various valid grounds, such as death of a person, shifting of their residence or moved back to their native place permanently, the minister explained.
On SIR, he said that this is not the first time that this exercise has been taken up, it is a routine process that had been undertaken at least 10-12 times during previous Congress regime.
Moreover, if name of some eligible person did not figure in SIR list, he or she can get their name reincluded by undertaking a simple 2 minute process, online or offline, with submission of Form 6, he said.
The hue and cry related to EVMs is also vague, as recent state Assembly by-election, Council or civic polls were held using paper ballots in Assam, Tripura, Karnataka, however, barring one, Congress faced defeats in all others, he added.
Union Minister Joshi arrived here Friday night. He, alongwith Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and other leaders participated in the "Run for Unity" held at the Amar Jawan Jyoti on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.
