Bomb threat email to Panchkula schools, BJP offfices triggers high security alert

Panchkula, Sep 24 (UNI) Police and security agencies were put on alert in Panchkula on Thursday after an email threatened to blow up schools in the city and also mentioned plans to blow up BJP offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh.
A bomb threat email was received, prompting police and security agencies to step up security across the city.
According to preliminary information, the email threatened attacks on schools in Panchkula and mentioned BJP offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh, as well as top BJP leaders.
According to the letter, union Home Minister Amit Shah and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini's names were also mentioned.
The Police have initiated an investigation to identify the source of the email and verify its authenticity. The threat prompted authorities to step up security around schools and other sensitive locations.
The message contained objectionable and threatening references to Khalistan. Police are examining the email's technical trail to identify its sender and determine its origin.
Security agencies are also assessing whether the threat is credible. Precautionary security measures have been intensified at schools and other sensitive places in the city.
