Asian Games: J&K Govt grants 'limited' NOC to Bilquis Mir after SC's judgment to join as official

Jammu, Sep 15 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday granted limited 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) to Bilquis Mir, Physical Education Teacher after the judgment passed by the Supreme Court to accompany the Indian National Kayaking and Canoeing Team as an official to the Asian Games commencing from September 19 at Japan.
As per an order issued by the Under Secretary to the Government Youth Services and Sports Department, in compliance with the judgment of the Supreme Court, Bilquis Mir, Physical Education Teacher, has been accorded the requisite limited NOC/permission and is relieved for the purpose of joining and discharging the remaining assignment as Coach/Chief Coach of the Indian National Kayaking and Canoeing Team and for accompanying and assisting the Indian National Team in connection with the Asian Games, 2026.
The order read that the permission shall remain operative only for the period reasonably necessary for completion of the Asian Games 2026 assignment and connected official travel.
