5.5 lakh visitors, 10,000 itineraries: UP tourism turns UPITS interest into travel plans

Greater Noida, Sep 29 (UNI) From travellers collecting itineraries for their next journey to industry representatives exploring opportunities in hospitality and destination development, the Uttar Pradesh Tourism pavilion at UPITS 2026 emerged as both a travel discovery space and a platform for new business conversations.
More than 5 lakh visitors, including an estimated 5.5 lakh at the upper end, explored the pavilion during the trade show, while around 10,000 printed travel guides and itineraries were picked up by visitors. Nearly 100 visitors and industry representatives sought information on investment and collaboration, while departmental officials held discussions with about 20 tour operators on promoting Uttar Pradesh’s destinations and tourism products.
The response reflected interest not only in Ayodhya, Prayagraj and Varanasi, but also in journeys built around the Neeb Karori Baba trail, Kannauj’s perfume heritage, wildlife and ecotourism. By placing emerging experiences alongside established pilgrimage centres, the pavilion presented Uttar Pradesh as a state that can offer multiple journeys within a single visit.
