IMD forecasts heavy rain in Punjab for three days; Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi on Sept 13-14

Panchkula, Sept 12 (UNI) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a fresh spell of rain over northwest India, with isolated heavy rainfall likely over Punjab from September 13 to 15 and Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on September 13 and 14.
In its All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued on Saturday morning, the IMD said that isolated to scattered rainfall is likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi from September 12 to 17. Himachal Pradesh is also likely to receive rain during September 12-17.
Rainfall activity is expected to intensify starting Sunday. The weather office has specifically forecast isolated heavy rainfall over Punjab during September 13-15 and over Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on September 13-14. East Rajasthan is also likely to receive isolated heavy rainfall on September 13 and 14.

Haryana expands Rs 2,100 monthly support to benefit additional 17 lakh women

Panchkula, Sep 17 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the expansion of the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana to include families with annual incomes up to Rs 1.80 lakh. This extension will provide Rs 2,100 monthly support to an additional 17 lakh women and release Rs 48.91 crore in benefits for nearly 65,000 workers.
