Old man killed by tiger in Katarniaghat forest in UP

Bahriach, Oct 18 (UNI) A 75-year-old man, who had gone to collect wood from the forest in the Motipur range of the Katarniaghat Wildlife Division, was killed in a tiger attack.
When the man, who had gone to the forest on Saturday evening, did not return home until late at night, his family began searching for him. Despite extensive searching, no trace of him was found.
During a second search on Sunday morning, his mutilated body was recovered from bushes deep inside the forest.
According to reports, Usman (75), a resident of Bankatwa village of Rajapur Kala Gram Panchayat in the Motipur Range, had gone to the forest to collect firewood on Saturday evening. His family became concerned when he did not return home until late at night. They searched for him in the surrounding area, but were unable to locate him.
On Sunday, the family returned to the forest to search. During this, Usman's mutilated body was found lying in the bushes about a hundred meters from the house. It is suspected that he died due to a tiger attack.
