Haryana invites applications for Mahila Samarth Sansthan Award

Panchkula, Oct 7 (UNI) The Haryana Women and Child Development Department has invited online applications for the Mahila Samarth Sansthan Award 2026-27, recognising institutions that provide women employees with safe, respectful, equitable and supportive workplaces.
The last date for submitting applications has been extended to October 15, 2026, according to the department’s latest notice.
Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma said the award scheme seeks to identify and encourage institutions that adopt progressive workplace practices and create an environment where women can work with dignity, safety and equal opportunity.
Government, semi-government and private institutions are eligible to apply under the scheme, subject to the prescribed eligibility conditions.
Interested institutions can submit their applications online through the Women and Child Development Department’s official website, wcdhry.gov.in, under the Mahila Samarth Sansthan Award section. The department has also made the detailed notification, eligibility conditions, guidelines, and application procedure available.
The award aims to promote and recognise workplaces that strengthen women’s safety, dignity, participation, and overall well-being. The scheme covers institutions across different sectors, with the assessment focusing on practices that contribute to a more women-friendly working environment.
The department has advised eligible institutions to carefully review the prescribed guidelines and complete the online application process by the extended deadline of October 15.

Raipur, Oct 8 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday released the 32nd instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana at a programme in Durg district, continuing the scheme’s monthly financial support for lakhs of women across the state. He transferred more than Rs. 632.40 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank accounts of 67,38,217 eligible women across the state.
