Telangana Govt secures Rs 5.86 lakh cr investment through 108 MoUs: Sridhar Babu

Hyderabad, Sep 11 (UNI) Telangana Industries and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Friday said the state government had signed 108 MoUs with companies across IT, data centres and various industrial sectors, involving proposed investments of Rs 5.86 lakh crore.
Replying to questions from members during Question Hour in the Legislative Assembly, Sridhar Babu said the government had undertaken extensive global and domestic outreach through participation in Davos, the Telangana Rising Global Summit, BioAsia, roadshows, sectoral conclaves and direct engagements with investors.
He said the government had established a dedicated Investor Facilitation System with nodal officers and high-level support to resolve issues faced by investors. Of the 108 agreements signed so far, 17 projects, accounting for around 23 per cent, were already operational, with the required land allocations completed. More than 45 per cent of the projects covered by MoUs signed this year and agreements reached at Davos last year had already been grounded, he said.
