Hyd CP holds meeting with Gauseva Associations to ensure peaceful Bakrid celebrations

Hyderabad, May 23 (UNI) In preparation for the upcoming Bakrid festival, Hyderabad City Police convened a key coordination meeting with various Gauseva (cow protection) associations to promote communal harmony and ensure a peaceful observance of the festival.
The meeting was held at the conference hall in Basheerbagh and chaired by C V Anand, Director General and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.
Representatives from the Gauseva organisations reiterated their commitment to protecting cows and preventing animal cruelty. They emphasised the importance of cow-based agriculture and eco-friendly practices, highlighting the cultural and environmental value of cattle. A major concern raised was the circulation of videos depicting cattle killings on social media. The participants urged the police to take stringent action against those responsible.
Responding to these concerns, Commissioner Anand assured the participants that firm action would be taken against individuals sharing such content online.
He urged Gauseva activists to operate strictly within the bounds of the law and refrain from taking matters into their own hands. He advised them to immediately report any suspicious activity, along with photo or video evidence, to the police by calling the control room at 8712661155.
The Commissioner emphasised full cooperation from Hyderabad City Police and called for mutual support and vigilance to ensure the festival is celebrated peacefully and lawfully.
Vikram Singh Mann, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Hyderabad, Senior Police officials and several notable representatives from Gauseva organisations also participated in the meeting.
