Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, June 16 (UNI) A young couple allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train on the outskirts of Bhuvanagiri around midnight on Sunday, police sources said on Monday.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Shruthi (23) and K Vinay (25), both residents of Nemalikonda village in Station Ghanpur Mandal, Jangaon district. The two were reportedly neighbours and had fallen in love. They had expressed their desire to get married but feared their families would not approve of the relationship, police sources said.
Upon receiving information, the Railway Police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the district government hospital for post-mortem.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway, police added.
