IDSFFK to pay tribute to Frederick Wiseman: Annecy animations, Resnais classics to be screened

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 23 (UNI) The 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) will pay tribute to acclaimed American documentary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman through a special package featuring two of his landmark films, while works of French filmmaker Alain Resnais and award-winning animations from the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival will also be presented at the festival.
The Wiseman package, titled Behind Closed Doors, Frederick Wiseman’s Human Mosaic, features Law and Order (1969) and Model (1981).
Law and Order documents the daily work of police officers in Kansas City, following them as they respond to domestic disputes, minor crimes and other situations. Through these encounters, the film examines interactions between police officers and the public and the institutional structures within which they operate.
