Police play key role in ensuring public safety: Minister Subhash

Kakinada, Sep 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Labour Minister Vasamsetti Subhash on Saturday said the police played a pivotal role in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety and protecting property.
Addressing 280 stipendiary constables who completed their nine-month basic training at the passing-out parade held at the AP Special Police Third Battalion here, the Minister congratulated the trainees on successfully completing their rigorous training.
After taking the salute and inspecting the parade, Subhash said police service was not merely a job but a great responsibility that played a key role in maintaining law and order in society.
He appreciated Vanasetti Subbarao, who began his career as a police constable and rose to the position of Deputy Commandant through hard work and dedication.
Third Battalion Commandant K.N. Kumar called upon the newly trained constables to demonstrate their capabilities in the discharge of their duties and enhance the prestige of the police department.
The Minister later presented prizes to trainees who had demonstrated exemplary merit during the training.
Kakinada Superintendent of Police Bindu Madhav, MLCs Perabathula Rajasekhar and Karri Padmasri, and former MLA Pilli Ananthalakshmi were among those present.
