Stalin launches Fish Net initiative, Greater Flamingo Bird sanctuary to mark WED

Chennai, June5 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Thursday

launched Fish Net initiative in 14 Coastal dsitricts and the Greater Flamingo

Bird sanctuary at Dhanushkodi as part of World Environment Day (WED)

celebrations.

At an event held at the Chennai Trade Centre, he laid theFoundation Stone

for Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Bards’s new R&D Centre at Guindy in the city.

He also handed over appointment Orders to Forest Personnel, Green Award

to Best District Collectors, Best District Forest Officer Awards, Best Forest Range

Officer Awards, the Chief Minister’s Waterbody Conservator Award, besides

Voluntary Green Rating Certificate to Industries.

A short film on the four years achievement of Environment, Climate Change

and Forests Department was also screened on the occasion.

During his visit to Bengaluru today, Nadda took to X to accuse Rahul Gandhi of using his latest article alleging "match-fixing" in the Maharashtra polls, as a deliberate attempt to distract from the Congress party’s repeated failures by fabricating false narratives and maligning constitutional institutions without any supporting evidence.
