Kerala to unveil Tech Brand, launch IT Parks Affiliation Scheme on Oct 6

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 1 (UNI) Kerala will unveil the Kerala Tech Brand and launch the IT Parks Affiliation Scheme here on October 6, aimed at bringing technology companies, co-working spaces and private technology infrastructure into a connected state-level ecosystem and creating greater opportunities in emerging technology sectors.
Industries, Commerce, IT and Artificial Intelligence Minister P K Kunhalikutty will unveil the Kerala Tech Brand and launch the affiliation scheme at Travancore Hall, Park Centre, Technopark Phase I, at 1600 hours.
Special Secretary, Electronics and IT Department, Sreeram Sambasiva Rao, will preside over the function. Technopark CEO Sachin Kumar Yadav will welcome the gathering, while Infopark and Cyberpark CEO Susanth Kurunthil will make a presentation on the affiliation scheme.
Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, K K Singh, will deliver the special address. NASSCOM Regional Director Bhaskar Verma will speak on "Industry Perspective: Kerala Tech and the IT Parks Affiliation Scheme".
A project to set up a two-lakh-square-foot prefabricated IT building and common recreational facilities at the Technopark Phase III campus will also be launched on the occasion.
An MoU between Technopark and Caspian Techparks for an upcoming project at the Technopark Phase I campus will also be exchanged during the function.
The event will also witness the launch of the Semicon Keralam Consortium, VSI Kerala Chapter and Maker Hub.
The IT Parks Affiliation Scheme seeks to bring eligible technology establishments located outside government-owned IT parks into a connected state-level technology ecosystem, enabling closer engagement with the government, industry and other ecosystem partners.
Under the scheme, eligible establishments outside government IT parks will be able to access benefits extended through the state IT parks. The launch will also mark the opening of the Affiliation Portal on the Kerala Tech Portal, providing a digital platform for eligible entities to register and become part of the affiliated network.
The scheme is expected to provide affiliated establishments with greater visibility, access to ecosystem opportunities and closer engagement with government, industry and other partners.
The Kerala Tech Brand represents the broader vision of bringing technology, innovation, research, startups and knowledge-intensive industries under a common ecosystem while creating greater opportunities for Kerala's human capital.
The knowledge industry is expanding beyond conventional IT and IT-enabled services, with emerging opportunities in areas including artificial intelligence, semiconductors, deep technology, space technology, cybersecurity and digital engineering.
