Man held for uploading voyeur videos of women

Bengaluru, May 23 (UNI) A 27-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly recording and uploading voyeuristic videos of women travelling in the Bangalore Metro on an Instagram page titled 'Bangalore Metro Chicks', police said on Friday.
According to DCP Lokesh B Jagalsar, the accused had been secretly filming women passengers without their knowledge or consent during his daily commute and subsequently uploading the videos for public viewing.
A case in this regard was registered at the Banashankari Police Station on May 20, and investigation was promptly taken up. The accused, who works in the accounts department of a private firm, was apprehended earlier today.
"He used to travel to and from his office by metro, during which he clandestinely video graphed women passengers. These videos were later shared on the said Instagram page," the DCP said.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused under appropriate sections of the law.
