Mayor cites photographs to defend Sugathan in Corporation signature row

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 9 (UNI) Thiruvananthapuram Corporation Mayor V V Rajesh on Friday claimed that photographs were available to prove BJP councillor R Sugathan’s presence at three Corporation council meetings at the centre of a controversy over alleged forgery of signatures in the attendance register.
Rajesh said the Corporation photographer had photographs showing Sugathan attending the meetings held on February 26, March 11 and April 27. The photographs, containing the dates and timings, had been handed over to the police, he said.
Taking a dig at CPI(M) councillor and complainant S P Deepak, the Mayor pointed out that Deepak himself had shared a photograph on social media on April 27 showing Sugathan seated at the council meeting.
