No interim relief for Ex-DMK Minister Anbil Mahesh in Rs 100 crore Private School fraud case

Chennai, Sep 30 (UNI) The Madras High Court on Wednesday refused to grant any interim relief to senior DMK leader and former School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi in a case pertaining to alleged illegal collection of more than Rs 100 crore from private schools for according/renewing permanent recognitions and other statutory approvals during the previous DMK regime.
The Ex-Minister had on September 28 moved the Madras High Court seeking to quash the FIR registered against him by the Chennai Central Crime Branch (CCB) police in the case.
When the petition came up for hearing before Justice V Lakshminarayanan, senior counsel Richardson Wilson, appearing for Anbil Mahesh, sought interim relief, submitting that his client had been fully cooperating with the investigation.
