DMK moves HC with another plea, seeks direction to issue summons to Vijay, two Ministers in Veeramani POCSO case

Chennai, Sep 29 (UNI) A day after lodging a complaing with Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the granite baron R.Veeramani sexual assault case, DMK Treasurer and Lok Sabha floor leader T R Baalu on Tuesday knocked the doors of the Madras High Court seeking directions to the SIT to summon and question Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and Ministers Aadhav Arjuna and C T R Nirmal Kumar for their allegations that the DMK had tried to shield the tainted bizman and cover up the case.
It may be noted that the DMK represented by its General Secretary and former Minister Duraimurugan has filed Rs one crore defamation suit against Vijay and the two Ministers, besides the TVK IT Wing for similar charges and the matter was being heard by Ms.Justice Govindarajan Thilakavathi, who had yesterday posted the matter to September 30 (tomorrow) for the next hearing. The plea also sought
a direction for registering cases against them and social media platforms like X, Meta and YouTube.
