‘Snehakkoodu’ built with collective care: Former CM Pinarayi Vijayan hands over keys

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 25 (UNI) A young temporary employee of the Employees Cooperative Society under the Social Justice and Women and Child Development Department has received a new home built through the collective support of colleagues and well-wishers.
Named ‘Snehakkoodu’, the house was constructed at Mathathikkonam in Kattakada on three cents of land donated free of cost by a member of the cooperative society. Former Chief Minister and Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan handed over the keys to the house at a housewarming ceremony held at Mathathikkonam.
The young man had faced severe hardships from childhood and was left alone following the death of his grandmother. Ranjith, a caretaker at a juvenile home, brought him to the cooperative society office, where he was provided temporary employment.
