PM Modi urges students to dream big, think different, help build Viksit Bharat by 2047

Chennai, Oct 11 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called upon the youth to dream big, think differently and live without fear to help build a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Addressing students and teachers at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Jaigopal Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School here, he emphasised that India’s young generation has the potential to provide solutions to the world’s challenges and lead the country towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Highlighting the institution’s journey, Mr Modi recalled that School--Vishva Hindu Vidya Kendra (VHVK) began in 1975 with just seven students in West Mambalam, despite limited infrastructure and resources, and has since grown into a network of 15 establishments. He commended its dedication to education, service and nationalism, recalling the Mann Ki Baat, Jaigopal Garodia school students, teachers, non-teaching staffs contribution of Rs.40 lakh towards military personnel through Re-1 daily savings—a powerful example of how individual contributions can create a lasting impact.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the importance of preserving Tamil language and culture while building national unity. Recalling

and interactions. He encouraged students to travel across India, make friends with people from diverse backgrounds and share Tamil culture with the rest of the country.
He also highlighted the timeless wisdom of the Thirukkural and the influence of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati’s years in Kashi on his national outlook.
Speaking about opportunities for India’s youth, Mr Modi highlighted the expansion of the country’s higher education ecosystem since 2014, including the growth in universities and colleges, and the increasing global recognition of Indian universities. He also underscored the role of the National Education Policy in improving educational quality and called for every young person’s unique skills and abilities to be nurtured.
The Prime Minister further emphasised the growing importance of sports, pointing to increased support for athletes and India’s aspirations to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games and the 2036 Olympic Games. He expressed confidence that the talent, determination and capabilities of the country’s youth would help India achieve significant milestones in sports and other fields.
Urging students to contribute to the nation’s future, the Prime Minister called for a collective commitment to building Viksit Bharat by 2047, making India one of the world’s top three economies, establishing the country as a global manufacturing hub, Indian on the Moon and contributing to the development of Tamil Nadu. He reiterated his confidence in the youth, describing them as the future leaders who would drive India’s progress.
The celebrations featured a special audio-visual presentation, Journey of Hindu Vidyalaya, tracing the institution’s five-decade legacy,
the release of the Golden Jubilee Souvenir and an album of patriotic songs performed by students. The Prime Minister also virtually unveiled the AI School Lab powered by Playtown, marking a step towards technology-enabled learning.
