Sharmila blames TDP, Janasena for mortgaging AP’s interests to BJP

Kakinada, June 28(UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress president Sharmila alleged today that both the TDP and Janasena parties, though being in the ruling, had mortgaged the state interests to the BJP which has done great injustice by not implementing the assurances given at the time of division of the state.
Sharmila told media persons at the district unit party office here that the YSRCP being in the opposition was also dancing to the tunes of BJP.
She claimed that late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy never supported BJP, but his son Jaganmohan Reddy brought disgrace to him by supporting BJP.
She ridiculed Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan for supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with both probably presuming that AP got separate status and assurances given at the time of state division were implemented besides the Polavaram project was completed during the past 11 years.
She further said that the central government instead of funding the Capital city Amaravati, sanctioned loans only and Prime Minister Modi did not announce till now that Vizag steel plant would not be privatized.
She described the super six schemes of the alliance government as a super hoax.
The welfare schemes implementation was haphazard. For Thalliki Vandanam scheme, 87 lakh people were eligible, but it is being implemented for 60 lakh people only.
Similarly, unemployment allowance is yet to be implemented. Mahila Sakthi scheme also remains a non-starter.
Similar is the case with the Free bus scheme for women. Its implementation was perfect in Congress-ruled Telangana and Karnataka states, she informed.
Referring to electricity tariff hike, Sharmila said while Jagan during five years rule levied Rs 32,000 crore burden on people, the present Alliance government in one year itself put Rs 17,000 crore burden.
Former Union Minister M M Pallamraju, party district president Madepalli Satyanandam, party senior leaders Kamana Prabhakararao, Chekka Nookaraju and Talluri Raju were among those present.
