New leadership takes charge of Telemedicine Society of India's Kerala Chapter

Kochi, June 28 (UNI) The Telemedicine Society of India (TSI) Kerala Chapter, has welcomed new leadership with Dr. Vivek Nambiar taking over as the new President.
Dr Nambiar, who previously served as the Vice President, is the Head of the Stroke Medicine Department at Amrita Hospital, Kochi.
Dr Prem Nair, the outgoing President and Group Medical Director at Amrita Hospitals, will continue in his role as the President of Telemedicine Society of India.
The leadership transition ceremony, held at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, also featured a presentation of the society's activity report by Bijoy M G, Secretary of TSI Kerala Chapter. As part of the event, outgoing office-bearers were presented with tokens of appreciation.
The newly appointed seven-member Executive Committee, led by Dr Vivek Nambiar, was introduced by the newly elected Kerala Chapter Secretary, Dr Nitha Panickar. Reshmi Ayesha, Vice President of KIMS Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram, also assumed her new role.
Other members of the new Executive Committee include Dr C Sreekumar, Dr Pradeep Thomas, Kevin Devasia, and Binu Maheeth from Amrita Hospital, Kochi.
Retired Professor from Trichy NIT, Dr Raghavan, a founding member of TSI’s Executive Committee, was honoured by Dr Prem Nair.
Dr Beena K V elaborated on the telemedicine initiatives undertaken by Amrita Hospital, Kochi, in collaboration with TSI and the Indian Medical Association (IMA). Dr L S Satyamurthy, TSI Founder Member and Ex. ISRO Director, delivered the felicitation speech.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Dr Vidya Jha, Dr Roopa Paulose, Dr Siby Gopinath, and Dr Gopal Pillai. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Reshmi Ayesha, Vice President of TSI Kerala Chapter.
