BJP accuses Congress of misleading people with 'Vote Chori' campaign: Ramchander Rao

Nirmal (Telangana), Nov 3 (UNI) BJP Telangana President N Ramchander Rao on Tuesday accused the Congress of misleading people through its 'vote chori' campaign and alleged that the party was attempting to destabilise the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre.
Addressing a public meeting after the BJP's Maha Padayatra in Nirmal, organised under the slogan 'Save Democracy – Remove Anarchy', Rao made sarcastic remarks against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, alleging that the former had lost his political judgment while the latter had appropriated the Gandhi surname.
He accused the Congress of corruption and claimed that the party had looted Rs 12 lakh crore during its previous tenure at the Centre.
Criticising the Telangana government, Rao alleged that Revanth Reddy was ignoring farmers' problems, including shortages of irrigation water and electricity, while focusing on political campaigns in Delhi. He urged BJP cadres to expose what he described as the Congress' attempts to undermine democracy and strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said Rahul Gandhi lacked an understanding of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and asserted that the people of the country alone decide who becomes Prime Minister, MPs and MLAs. He expressed confidence that the BJP would come to power in Telangana under the leadership of Ramchander Rao.
BJP National General Secretary and Telangana in-charge Sunil Bansal, State co-in-charge Rekha Sharma, MP Eatala Rajender, BJP Legislature Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy, MPs G. Nagesh and Dharmapuri Arvind, party MLAs and other leaders participated in the padayatra, which began at Shantinagar crossroads and witnessed a large gathering of party workers and supporters.
