Hyd: SC verdict on Danam Nagender a 'supreme slap' to Rahul Gandhi, Revanth: KTR

Hyderabad, Sep 24 (UNI) BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday hailed the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the Telangana High Court verdict disqualifying former Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender under the anti-defection law, describing it as a "supreme slap" to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Reacting to the Supreme Court's dismissal of Nagender's plea challenging his disqualification, KTR said the court had found no ground to interfere with the High Court's decision.
Nagender, who was elected from Khairatabad on a BRS ticket in the 2023 Assembly elections, later joined the Congress and contested the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Secunderabad on a Congress ticket while continuing as an MLA.
