KTR calls Telangana an ‘ATM’ for Rahul Gandhi, slams Congress over unfulfilled promises

Hyderabad, Oct 25 (UNI) BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday accused the Congress government in Telangana of failing to fulfil its election promises and alleged that the State had become an “ATM” for Rahul Gandhi under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s administration.
Addressing party leaders at Telangana Bhavan during the induction of senior minority leader Gibran Sharif from Khairatabad into the BRS, KTR questioned the delay in implementing the Congress’s six guarantees, 13 declarations and 420 promises.
He demanded answers on commitments relating to two lakh jobs, minority welfare, enhanced pensions and financial assistance to farmers.
KTR also alleged irregularities in land transactions and business deals involving the Chief Minister’s family and called for transparent investigations.
He recalled the BRS government’s record on electricity supply, drinking water and communal harmony in Hyderabad, while criticising the Congress over its alleged failure to protect farmers and other sections.
Attacking the BJP-led government at the Centre, KTR criticised the alleged use of central investigative agencies against opposition leaders and said the BRS would continue to fight for Telangana’s interests.
He expressed confidence that the BRS would return to power in 2028, with K. Chandrashekar Rao becoming Chief Minister again.
Gibran Sharif’s joining was described by BRS leaders as a move to strengthen the party in the Khairatabad constituency and among minority communities.
