Summon Vijay, 2 TN Ministers for levelling allegations against DMK in Veeramani POCSO case : DMK to SIT

Chennai, Sep 28 (UNI) The main Opposition DMK on Monday lodged a complaint with the Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the POCSO case involving 84-year-old paedophile accused Veeramani, seeking to summon Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and Ministers Aadhav Arjuna and CTR.Nirmal Kumar for questioning for levelling allegations against the party of having tried to cover up the case.
DMK Treasurer and Parliamentary Party leader T.R. Baalu submitted the complaint to the SIT and requested the investigating officers to summon the three and obtain the evidence and other materials in their possession relating to the allegations made in connection with the case.
Veeramani, who has been arrested under the POCSO Act following sexually assaulting several minor girls over the years, is currently lodged in Puzhal prison. Shanthi and her husband Mahendran Simkan, who have acted as the support system for the tainted bizman have also been arrested. Ganesan, who had worked as Veeramani’s assistant for a long period, was also arrested on allegations that he possessed video footage of Veeramani allegedly engaging in sexual acts with minor girls but did not approach the police with the material or lodge a complaint.
