Yediyurappa alleges conspiracy against former CM Siddaramaiah

Davanagere, Oct 18 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Sunday alleged that a systematic conspiracy had been orchestrated against former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, claiming that the sting operation targeting the Congress leader was intended to undermine him politically.
Speaking to reporters in Davangere, Yediyurappa said Siddaramaiah, who had earlier governed the state with a strong majority, had been subjected to a concerted attempt to weaken his political position. He claimed that people in Karnataka were aware of the motives behind the sting operation.
Yediyurappa suggested that the developments surrounding Siddaramaiah were politically significant and said the unfolding events were being closely watched in political circles.
The allegations come amid a wider political controversy over the purported sting operation and its implications for Karnataka politics. However, Yediyurappa's claims of a systematic conspiracy remain allegations and have not been independently established.
Turning his attention to the state government, Yediyurappa criticised the Congress leadership over the drought situation and the difficulties faced by people in Karnataka. He alleged that the government had failed to respond adequately to public grievances despite the hardships confronting people in several parts of the state.
Accusing the government of running a “Tughlaq Darbar”, the BJP veteran said those in power were not sufficiently attentive to the problems of ordinary citizens. He asserted that people would hold the government accountable at the appropriate time.
On the political front, Yediyurappa expressed confidence in the BJP-Janata Dal (Secular) alliance, saying the two parties would work together to challenge the Congress and strengthen their position across the state.
He said leaders and workers of both parties would coordinate their efforts and seek the support of people who wanted a change in Karnataka's political leadership.
Yediyurappa expressed confidence that the BJP-JD(S) alliance would secure a majority in the next Assembly elections and form the government in the state.
