Kerala Tourism to focus on quality infrastructure, barrier-free access: Tourism Secretary

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 23 (UNI) Developing quality infrastructure and ensuring barrier-free access to tourist destinations will receive major thrust in the master plan for the next phase of tourism development in Kerala, Tourism Secretary Biju K said on Wednesday.
Interacting with a group of journalists from Maharashtra and Goa who are visiting the state under a programme organised by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Biju said tourism destinations need to be upgraded to global standards while ensuring effective marketing and better upkeep of tourism assets with the support of professional curators and experts.
He also made a presentation on Kerala's unique tourism products and its scenic and iconic destinations.
