TTD decides to extend Rs 71 cr per year to SVIMS Hospital

Tirumala, May 20 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Trust Board in its meeting on Tuesday resolved to extend Rs 71 crore per year to TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) Super specialty hospital in Tirupati.
Briefing the media after the board meeting held under his chairmanship along with TTD Executive Officer J Syamala Rao at Annamaiah Bhavan here, TTD Trust Board chairman BR Naidu said this was in addition to the current Rs 60 crore financial aid provided to the SVIMS Hospital, which is the flagship of Rayalaseema for providing better medical services to many poor and needy people.
Besides deciding to recruit doctors, nurses and paramedical staff posts which are currently vacant in the hospital, the board also decided to complete the buildings which are under construction making them available for the patients, he said.
The board has also decided to introduce ‘Srivari Vaidya Seva’ soon on the lines of Srivari Seva voluntary service inviting experts in the medical field to offer services to the patients, the chairman added.
