Heavy to very heavy rain likely in AP, Yanam in the next 24 hours: Met

Amaravati, May 20 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Centre said on Tuesday.

In a daily weather report here, it said that heavy rain is likely to occur in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema during the next 72 hours.

Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds ranging from 40-50 kmph are likely to occur at Isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema during the next five days.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places or many places, or a few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.

Heavy rainfall occurred at Repalle ( Bapatla Dt) in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours.

Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and at a few places over Rayalaseema during the same period, the report added.
