Samrat congratulates Indian shooters on Asian Games silver

Patna, Sep 20 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Sunday congratulated Indian shooters Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod for winning the silver medal in the women's 10-metre air rifle team event at the Asian Games.
In a message posted on social media platform X, Choudhary said the three shooters had brought glory to the Tricolour and their achievement would inspire the daughters of the country to pursue their dreams and excel in sports.
He extended his best wishes to the Indian team, which won India''s first medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Choudhary said winning the silver medal in the women's 10-metre air rifle team event was a proud moment for Indian sports and a source of inspiration for young women across the country.
India began its shooting campaign at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games with a silver medal. The Indian team of Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Maskar and Vidarsa Vinod finished second with a score of 1,898 points.
China won the gold medal with 1,904.2 points, while Japan secured the bronze with 1,897.1 points.
Sonam Maskar scored 634.1 points, Elavenil Valarivan 633.5 and Vidarsa Vinod 630.4 in the event.
Sonam and Elavenil have also qualified for the final of the individual 10-metre air rifle event.
