The target was 15 crores, claims Sanjay Raut on money in Dhule rest house

Mumbai, May 22 (UNI) Shiv Sena ( UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has made serious allegations against MLA Arjun Khotkar here on Thursday after Rs 1.84 crore cash was found in room number 102 of Gulmohar Rest House in Dhule.
Raut said the chairman of the estimate committee had given to the responsibility to contractors for collecting Rupees 15 crore from all contractors.
Khotkar had threatened to blacklist the contractors as the money was not being collected, claimed Raut.
Raut said that Thackeray group leader and former MLA Anil Gote had locked room number 102 in the rest house and was sitting there with protesting. He said that Gote claimed that Rupee 5 crore was kept in this room on Wednesday night.
The provincial magistrate and police officers broke the lock of this room while conducting a panchnama and found Rs 1.84 crore inside. After recovering the such cash amount from the government guest house, Thackeray group has started raising this issue.
To what extent has corruption in Maharashtra gone, it has gone to the legislature, alleged Raut.
In the state of Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, Ajit Pawar, corruption reached the zenith. The Chief Minister of the state, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly are silent on this scam, he said.

He further said that how corrupt the chairman of the committee, Arjun Khotkar, who joined the Shinde group out of fear of the ED, is, he said.
The Low-quality work and huge scams have been committed in the works of the Public Works Department and other sectors, alleged Raut.
