Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai sets Guinness Record with 61221 people taking CPR pledge

Mumbai, Sept 28 (UNI) A CPR awareness campaign conducted by Apollo Hospitals in Navi Mumbai has entered the Guinness World Records after 61,221 people pledged to learn CPR during a 30 day campaign aimed at encouraging citizens to respond effectively during medical emergencies.
Titled Sajju Ahet Maze Haath, meaning My Hands Are Ready, the campaign was held from July 8 to August 7, 2026. Apollo Hospitals had set a target of 50,000 participants, but the initiative exceeded the target and developed into a wider public movement across Navi Mumbai.
More than 120 institutions, including schools, colleges, workplaces and social organisations, participated. Students, teachers, healthcare workers, employees, families and members of the public joined the campaign to promote preparedness and encourage people to provide immediate assistance before professional medical help arrives.

Maha: DRI Nagpur busts inter-state drug racket, seizes amphetamine worth Rs 1 05 crore

Nagpur, Oct 1 (UNI) The Regional Unit of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Nagpur, under the Mumbai Zonal Unit, has busted an inter-state narcotics trafficking network and seized 1.312 kg of amphetamine estimated to be worth around Rs 1.05 crore in the illegal market, officials said today.

Aadhaar mandatory for 63 types of property document registrations in Maharashtra from October 1

Mumbai, Oct 1 (UNI) Aadhaar identification will now be mandatory for registration of property-related documents in Maharashtra, with no document registration being permitted without a valid identity proof. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said the decision has been implemented from October 1 to curb fraud in property transactions and prevent the use of fake parties and witnesses.
