Maha: 18th Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Marathi Literary conference to be held in Nagpur on October 4

Pune, Sep 29 (UNI) The 18th Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Marathi Literary conference, organised by the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Parishad, will be held on October 4, in the historic town of Ramtek in Nagpur district.
The conference aims to highlight the scholarly and literary contributions of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who was not only a renowned warrior but also a multilingual scholar and accomplished intellectual, said Dr Sharad Gore, national president of the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Parishad.
Renowned litterateur Usha Raut will preside over the one-day conference, while Subhash Chavan will serve as the reception president. Namdev Rathod, Vidarbha regional working president of the Parishad, is the chief organiser of the event.
A series of panel discussions focusing on Sambhaji Maharaj's literary works, scholarship and multifaceted personality will be organised during the conference. A literary procession and a poets' meet will also form part of the programme.
Several prominent writers, intellectuals and literature enthusiasts from across Maharashtra are expected to attend the event. The organisers have appealed to literature lovers from Ramtek and neighbouring areas to participate in the literary and cultural gathering in large numbers. UNI SP SS

Aadhaar mandatory for 63 types of property document registrations in Maharashtra from October 1

Mumbai, Oct 1 (UNI) Aadhaar identification will now be mandatory for registration of property-related documents in Maharashtra, with no document registration being permitted without a valid identity proof. Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said the decision has been implemented from October 1 to curb fraud in property transactions and prevent the use of fake parties and witnesses.
