'Where did Rs 500 crore vanish & why are ED, CBI silent,' asks Sanjay Raut

Mumbai, Oct 23 (UNI) Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP and chief Sena spokesperson, Sanjay Raut, today raised questions about where the Rs 500 crore mentioned in the audio clip conversation released by Maratha reservation agitator Manoj Jarange Patil had disappeared and why are the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are strangely silent.
“From the conversation in the audio clip, it is clear that Eknath Shinde took Rs 500 crore from the BJP to give it to Manoj Jarange Patil. But where did the Rs 500 crore go? To whom did it go? Who gave it? Are efforts being made to finish off Manoj Jarange Patil’s agitation? There are many unanswered questions,” he said here.
Raut further said that when allegations against the BJP came up, BJP leaders dismissed these as artificial intelligence generated hoaxes.
“Is Jarange lying? All the people heard talking in the audio clip belong to the BJP. They said that they gave Rs 500 crore. To whom did they give the money? Did they give it to Shrikant Shinde to finish off Manoj Jarange Patil’s agitation? Why would Manoj Jarange be a threat to the BJP in the Marathwada region? Only BJP people could have been in a position to audio tape such a conversation. BJP has all the infrastructure and equipment to do it. It appears that this conversation was recorded before AI became available,” he said.
Raut stated that Jarange Patil who released the audio clip clarified that he had not received any money from anybody.
“Shrikant Shinde was given Rs 500 crores. So where did it go? Where did the cash come from? What happened to that Rs 500 crores? Only Amit Shah, Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde can answer these questions. These questions should be asked by the ED and the CBI, but these organisations are silent. Why are they silent? This is a matter of Rs 500 crores, but strangely, the ED does not open its eyes. The ED never talks about it and the ED does not listen to it,” the Sena UBT leader said.
Raut said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) may be set up to probe the case.
“Fadnavis has formed 112 SITs so far. But nothing seems to get solved. What is a SIT? It is your (Fadnavis) own dandiya (stick) and your own drum. Earlier, SITs were set up only in very rare cases, but now SITs are formed everyday. SITs have lost all importance,” he remarked.
Praising Manoj Jarange Patil, Raut said, “Jarange Patil has exposed the big money game being played by the BJP, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar's party in Maharashtra politics. This is a very important work he has done. The ruling party has developed the mindset that they can purchase political parties, MLAs, MPs, mass movements and institutions with money.”
