Probe Viral Audio Clip Linked to Manoj Jarange, Demands Hemant Patil

Pune, Oct 23 ( UNI) Hemant Patil, national president of India Against Corruption and a Right to Information (RTI) activist, on Friday demanded a thorough investigation into an alleged audio clip linked to Maratha community leader Manoj Jarange Patil that has gone viral on social media.
Patil has sought strict legal action against those found responsible for spreading misinformation and making defamatory statements in a representation submitted to Gondi police station in Jalna district. He would also submit a representation to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
In his representation, Patil called for verification of the statements allegedly made in the audio clip and identification of the individuals heard in it. He said the authenticity of the recording must be established and the facts surrounding the alleged Rs 500 crore transaction mentioned in it must be brought to light.
Patil also urged the authorities to investigate whether the audio clip was intended to create differences between the two ruling alliance parties in Maharashtra.
He expressed concern that the circulation of the clip could create confusion and misunderstandings within the Maratha community. He alleged that an attempt was being made to defame Jarange Patil. UNI SP CDS
