Gold Modaks at Rs 27,000/kg add luxury to Ganesh Chaturthi in Nashik

Nashik, Sep 13 (UNI) A sweet shop in Nashik has added a touch of luxury to this year's Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations by introducing modaks covered with a layer of 24-carat gold, priced at Rs 27,000 per kilogram.
The unusual festive offering has emerged as a major attraction among devotees and sweet lovers in the city, ahead of the festival beginning on September 14.
The shop is offering more than 25 varieties of modaks, including premium options prepared with high-quality ingredients. The gold- and silver-decorated modaks are among its most talked-about offerings.
