Germany’s AfD ahead of ruling CDU/CSU bloc by record 13 percentage points: Poll

Moscow, Oct 6 (Sputnik/UNI) The German right-wing opposition Alternative for Germany (AfD) party has achieved a record 13 percentage points lead over Chancellor Friedrich Merz's CDU/CSU bloc, a poll, conducted by the INSA institute and published by the Bild newspaper, showed.
AfD's approval rating reached 30.5% for the first time, the report said on Monday. The ruling CDU/CSU bloc, on the other hand, has set a new low in popularity, gaining 17.5%, the report added.
The Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and the Greens reportedly share third place, both receiving 14.5%.
