Nuh court complex to get 115 new lawyers' chambers; 460 advocates to benefit from expansion

Nuh, Oct 17 (UNI) The Nuh District Judicial Complex is set for a major infrastructure expansion, with Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge Justice Harsimran Singh Sethi laying the foundation stone for 115 additional lawyers' chambers on Saturday, raising the planned capacity to 230 chambers accommodating 460 advocates.
Justice Sethi, who chairs the Haryana Building Committee, called for time-bound completion of the new Block-B and assured advocates that further infrastructure requirements, including additional chambers and essential facilities, would receive due consideration.
The proposed block will have 115 chambers, matching the number in Block-A. With two advocates accommodated in each chamber, the two blocks will together provide workspace for 460 lawyers.
"Every possible assistance will be extended to improve facilities for advocates," Justice Sethi said, stressing that better judicial infrastructure was essential for efficient court functioning and improved services to litigants.
He said judicial complexes should provide essential facilities under one roof, enabling advocates to prepare cases, handle legal documentation and consult clients without unnecessary inconvenience.
Justice Sethi also flagged the need for coordinated action by the judiciary, district administration and Bar Association to expedite infrastructure development.
Concerns over the condition of the judicial complex's boundary wall and other basic amenities were raised during the programme. Justice Sethi urged the district administration to address these issues, emphasising that maintenance of existing infrastructure must receive as much attention as new construction.
He also inaugurated a gymnasium and planted a sapling at the judicial complex.
Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge Justice Harpreet Singh Brar, who is also the Administrative Judge of the Nuh Sessions Division, attended the ceremony.
District and Sessions Judge Sushil Kumar Garg, Deputy Commissioner Akhil Pilani, Superintendent of Police Arpit Jain, Chief Judicial Magistrate Neha Gupta, District Bar Association President Shameem Ahmed Badarpur and Chambers Committee Chairman Nooruddin Noor were among those present. UNI KK CDS
