Odisha launches Amri Sishu web portal to strengthen child care, protection & rehabilitation

Bhubaneswar, June 23 (UNI) The Odisha State Women and Child Development Department on Monday launched the “Amri Sishu” web portal to strengthen child care, protection and rehabilitation services across the state.
Launching the portal — www.aamarisishu.odisha.gov.in , Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said
it would facilitate smooth coordination among District Child Protection Units (DCPUs), Child Welfare Committees (CWCs), Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs), Child Care Institutions (CCIs), and various other service providers and stakeholders working in the field of child protection.
She further stated that the portal will enhance the functioning of sectors related to child welfare, nutrition, and protection in the state.
With digitally updated data, child health and nutrition can now be tracked more accurately, said the Deputy Chief Minister, who also heads the Women and Child Development Department.
She added that the platform would integrate systems like the Poshan Tracker and Child Helpline (1098), and expressed hope that it would provide the public with up-to-date information on key schemes such as Mission Vatsalya, Yashoda, and Deksha.
Principal Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department, Shubha Sharma; Divisional Director, Monisha Banerjee; departmental officials; anganwadi workers; and helpers were present at the launch event.

Women for trees campaign in Manipur

Imphal, June 23 (UNI) A tree plantation campaign “Women For Trees” continued with a Tree Plantation Programme held at Kabowakching, Nambol on Monday.
The programme saw enthusiastic participation from women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the aegis of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM), along with local residents, who actively took part in planting saplings at designated locations near Kabowakching Makha Leikai Pukhri Achouba, where a Water Body Rejuvenation Project is being undertaken under AMRUT 2.0.
