Odisha: One held for stone pelting on Jan Shatabdi Express

Bhubaneswar, June 28 (UNI) The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has arrested an individual in connection with a stone-pelting incident on the Howrah-bound 12074 Jan Shatabdi Express.
According to East Coast Railway (ECoR) sources, a complaint was received on the night of June 27 by the Divisional Security Control at Khurda Road, reporting that a windowpane in Coach No. D/13 was cracked due to stone pelting between Randia Boudpur and Bhadrak stations.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Acting swiftly, the Inspector-in-Charge of RPF Bhadrak and his team conducted a trackside search operation in the affected section.
One suspect was detained and subsequently arrested in connection with the incident.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Railway Act. The accused will be produced before the SDJM Court, Bhadrak, today for further legal proceedings.
The RPF reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of railway passengers and urged the public to report any suspicious activity through Rail Madad or the Railway Helpline Number 139.
