Omar’s own MPs, MLAs exposing his Govt’s incompetence: Chugh

Jammu, Nov 4 (UNI) The BJP National Headquarters In-Charge and Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh, reacting to National Conference MP Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi’s resignation, said that even MPs and MLAs from Omar Abdullah’s own party are now questioning his government’s competence and experience. This growing dissent within the National Conference is a clear reflection of the failure of Omar Abdullah’s leadership.
Chugh in a statement here on Wednesday said that the BJP has consistently maintained that the Omar Abdullah government has failed to deliver on its promises, particularly on providing employment opportunities to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
"The commitments made to the people during the elections remain unfulfilled, with the government failing to take concrete steps towards implementing its manifesto," he stated and said that the most telling aspect of the situation is that the government’s failures are now being exposed not merely by the Opposition but by leaders from within the National Conference itself. When a party’s own MPs and MLAs begin questioning the competence and functioning of their government, it reflects the deepening crisis of leadership within the party.
Chugh further said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir had voted for the National Conference with expectations of change, employment and development.
However, the Omar Abdullah government has failed to live up to those expectations. The people deserve answers on when the promises made in the party’s election manifesto will finally be fulfilled.
