Jalgaon, Jun 2 (UNI) A four-year-old boy was killed and 14 others were injured in a stray dog attack in the Samata Nagar Nageshwar Colony area of Jalgaon city on Sunday evening.
The deceased boy has been identified as Arvind alias Bobby Sachin Gaikwad (age 4).
The boy, Arvind, lived with his parents in Nageshwar Colony. He was studying in Junior KG at the nearby Sainik English Medium School. Since Sunday was a holiday, he was playing in the yard. Meanwhile, the boy was suddenly attacked by a stray dog.
In the attack, the dog bit him hard on his face, neck and throat, causing deep wounds. The child fell in a pool of blood after breaking his limbs. When the surrounding citizens noticed that the injured Bobby was screaming, they rescued him from the dog's clutches.
He was admitted to the hospital. However, the doctors examined him and declared him dead. This dog has broken the limbs of 14 more people in the same area.
Meanwhile, due to the death of the child, the citizens and relatives of the area have expressed strong anger towards the municipal administration and demanded immediate control of the stray dogs.
