PM gifts Bihar with projects worth Rs 48,500 crore

Bikramganj, May 30 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday gifted Bihar with projects worth Rs 48,500 crores in power, road, railway and education sectors, which would accelerate the pace of development of the state.

Modi, during a public meeting at Bikramganj in Rohtas district of Bihar, launched and laid foundation stones for several projects by pressing the button of the remote control system. Projects are related to power, roads, railways and energy sectors.

"All the projects either launched today or for which foundation stones have been laid will accelerate the pace of development of Bihar in days ahead," the prime minister said, adding that India could be a developed nation only if Bihar became a developed state.
